IEN is a North American based organisation aimed at bringing together indigenous communities concerned over environmental issues. Indigenous land have for decades been exploited, deforested and stolen without a care for the communities who depend on them. The IEN questions these practices, amplifies the voices of the indigenous communities and empowers grassroots environmental indigenous initiatives. With a particular focus on indigenous feminism and climate justice the IEN promotes an intersectional solution to the climate crisis.
Indigenous people and allies
We love that the Indigenous Environmental Network supports grassroots indigenous environmental initiatives. Their focus on feminism, youth and climate justice adds another layer to the already important discussions IEN facilitates.
