vs
Intersectional Environmentalism

Communities of colour are disproportionately affected by climate change, however are rarely given space and representation in the environmental movement. Black Girl Environmentalist (BGE) aims to change the narrative and create an empowered community of black women, girls and non-binary environmentalists. The platform is run by a collective of young black women who uplift other women of colour in the environmental movement to create a more accurate depiction of what the climate movement actually looks like.
